Chris Whelan is a seasoned business coach, leadership mentor, and former global executive with over 25 years’ experience helping ambitious business owners grow profits, build high-performing teams, and reclaim their time. He’s worked in boardrooms across Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Australasia - and now brings that global insight to the heart of small and medium-sized businesses across New Zealand and beyond.

Before becoming a business coach, Chris held senior leadership roles at Ernst & Young, BHP, and as Chief Executive of Wellington’s Economic Development Agency, where he led teams of up to 130 staff and oversaw $25 million annual budgets. While consulting for BHP in 2018–2019, he realized he no longer wanted to operate in a world where real change moved at glacial speed. He wanted to help business owners make meaningful change today - changes that would show up in profit, performance, and peace of mind tomorrow.

That decision led him to ActionCOACH. After reviewing different methodologies, Chris chose ActionCOACH because of its practical, results-driven frameworks. A conversation with a friend in South Africa - who, thanks to his coach, had built a self-sustaining business and was now flying his private plane and travelling the world - sealed the deal. 1.  How much does the 12-week Management Program cost?

2. Why would I need a business coach?

There are endless reasons why a business owner, leader or senior manager would benefit from the support of a professional business coach. 3. What is group coaching?

Group coaching is a method that involves coaching multiple individuals at once. In this approach, the coach works with a group of people who share common goals, challenges, or circumstances. 4. How long do coaching programs last?

Each of the Masterclass (Leadership, Sales and Marketing) Programs last 12 weeks.

For other programs it will depends on your goals and how far you want to grow. Just like everything else in life, true performance requires a life-long commitment to self-development. There are no ‘quick fixes’ and we recommend undertaking a program of a minimum of 24 months to experience a significant, lasting change. In reality, our clients stay for much longer as there’s always a new challenge and their horizons are constantly evolving. Whether you're just starting out in business, have reached maturity and you're unsure where to go next or you're wanting to exit your business and get it working without you there, business coaching can start and continue at any point of your business journey. 5. Are there extra charges to implement the strategies?
